The performances will take place in Studio A—where One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Next and Apocalypse Now were mixed—(or Studio D, where Journey's Escape was recorded) of Fantasy Studios. More about the studio's history is at the Wikipedia page. There is ample parking at the building. There will be limited seating in the studio, so some guests may need to stand.

In the fall of 1981, a small group of Yale undergraduates found themselves torn between the call of sketch comedy and the allure of a cappella singing. Unable to decide between these two competing activities, they decided to form a new group that incorporated the best elements of both. A silver-plated fruit bowl served as a makeshift tap-cup (a necessity for any official group), and thus the original class of Mixed Company was born. Since then, we have shifted our focus away from sketch comedy and devoted ourselves more seriously to singing, although we still allow our unique brand of humor to shine through during on-campus concerts. Now in its 28th year of existence, members of Mixed Company have sung for world leaders, produced twelve studio albums, and performed for audiences on five continents. Our repertoire includes a variety of genres such as Broadway, pop, rock, soul, and oldies, so we can tailor a performance to any type of audience. For more information about the group, please visit our website: http://www.mixedco.net/.

The Purple Crayon was founded in 1985 and has been performing since then doing workshops and shows all across the country. Crayon was just featured on Splitsider's "12 Colleges with Great Improv Groups" list. The Purple Crayon does both long form and short form-improv as well as a plenty of specialty show formats, including an improvised musical, a full length fairy tale, and even a murder mystery. Workshops vary in length and intensity, covering anything from the basics of improv to the onstage development of emotional honesty and complex characters.
