YANA Roundtable: Doing Business Oversees as a U.S. Nonprofit

Join YANA and Anita Stangl of Alliance for Smiles for a lunchtime roundtable discussion on the challenges and opportunities of doing business overseas as a U.S. nonprofit, and the benefits of partnerships and collaborations when doing this work.

Join YANA for a lunchtime roundtable discussion on the challenges and opportunities of doing business overseas as a U.S. nonprofit. The session will be facilitated by Anita Stangl, former President & CEO of Alliance for Smiles, who will also discuss the benefits of partnerships and collaborations when doing this work.

Alliance for Smiles sends medical teams to China, Africa, Bangladesh, and several other underserved countries to perform free cleft lip and palate surgeries for underserved children and to set up multi-dimensional treatment programs for children born with this deformity.

Anita has a total of 30 years of experience in the field of fundraising and non-profit management. She has been responsible for starting three non-profit organizations, and has been a participant in numerous international medical missions. She is the second woman in the Rotary Club of San Francisco’s 109 year history to serve as President from July 2006 to June 2007. She also has served as the President of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation from 2012 to 2017.
