YANA Presents: Mental Health in Today's Society

Mental health continues to be deprioritized and stigmatized. What are the key mental health challenges in the Bay Area, and how can individuals help? Join a panel discussion of Yalies who are addressing mental health in our communities.

Mental health continues to be deprioritized and stigmatized despite growing recognition that mental and physical health are inextricably linked. Suicide continues to be one of the leading causes of death for teenagers, and mental illnesses are too frequently left undiagnosed or untreated. Fortunately, a national conversation on the importance of mental health is building. How are Yale alums addressing mental health in our community? What are the key mental health challenges in the Bay Area, and how can individuals help? What careers are possible in the mental health arena? Please join a panel of Yalies for a discussion and light refreshments to learn more.
