**POSTPONED**: Film "American Justice on Trial"--The Yale Connections

**POSTPONED** Lise Pearlman ('71) will share a trailer from her documentary project on the historic 1968 Huey Newton murder trial that revolutionized a "jury of one's peers," and also reveal the Yale connections to the underlying story and the film.

** THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED **

Talk and showing of film trailer by Hon. Lise A. Pearlman (ret.) Yale '71 on the relevance today of a 1968 death penalty trial that challenged entrenched racism in the justice system -- "American Justice on Trial: People v. Newton" directed by two-time Academy Award nominee Robert Richter. She will highlight the many Yale connections to the underlying story and to the making of the film. Pearlman is the prize-winning author of the book on which the project is based.
