Welcome aboard the classic schooner Seaward and head out for two hours of sailing, taking in an unmatched view of San Francisco bay. Break up your workweek by hitting the water while watching the sun set beyond the Golden Gate. Hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be included. Living along one of the most beautiful bays in the world, we owe it to ourselves to have at least minimal knowledge about sailing and our Bay.

So, whether you're a novice, or have actually spent time 3 sheets to the wind, there's lots to learn and enjoy alongside your fellow alumni, where answers to some of the following questions will be revealed:

•    What's the average depth of the Bay?  (The answer may shock you)
•    Did Captain Morgan officially serve in any Navy?
•    Does anyone remember the Salty Dog Rag?
•    What's the difference between yar, and yawl, and y’all, and Yale?
•    Why did the Army Corps of Engineer's proposed filling in the Bay?
•    If someone yells "Jibe Ho" at my wife, should I take offense?

Seaward is an 82’ classic staysail schooner built in 1988 for both comfortable outings in protected waters and for rigorous offshore sailing. She is annually inspected and certified by the U.S. Coast Guard as a passenger vessel for voyages up to 200 miles offshore from Alaska to Panama. She has the highest possible stability rating and has a smooth and comfortable motion. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite old friends or new ones.
