Y-House: Sustainable Housing Reimagined
For the first time Yale has been selected as a finalist to participate in the prestigious Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. Come hear their student project manager speak about sustainable architecture and Y-House, the team's design entry.

Come check out the Yale Solar Decathlon! The undergraduate-led team is Yale's first to be selected a finalist to compete in the Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon in Irvine, California this October. The team is competing with an innovative concept that hopes to reconcile the perception of sustainable living as aloof and the image of 'home' as a place with emotional meaning. All designs and construction plans are finished and the home is ready to be built! Their student project manager will present their design and speak about the ways the project has brought different campus entities together to work towards Yale's mission to be a more sustainable university.

  • Date & Time: July 23, 6:30pm-7:30pm
  • Location: Offices of PaperG located at 530 Bush Street, 9th floor, San Francisco, CA
