Elaine G. Chu, book artist / graphic designer / art and music educator

In this digital age, book arts is a medium that gives us a welcome respite from the computer. Join us for a creative afternoon. We'll work with our hands to construct a custom book with clever folds. Learn basic bookbinding techniques: how to cover boards and finish the corners like a pro. Your finished work of art can function as a journal, pop-up card, or photo album! All levels welcome.

Elaine G. Chu's work has been featured in galleries, libraries, and craft venues and appeared in publications including “1000 Artists’ Books,” “Greencraft” magazine, and “Graphis.”  She co-authored “Wood Paper Scissors” a how-to crafts book. She has worked in New York, Hong Kong, and California as a graphic designer and art/music instructor.
