Dan will have a short conversation with Yale alumni and other guests following the film, and the film’s subject Dr. Billy Taylor, is expected to be in attendance.  The film and Q & A will last approximately 90 minutes.   The Delancey Street Screening Room is a professional film screening venue with a maximum capacity of 146 seats.  Admission is only $5.  Advance purchase to this event is highly encouraged, as seats may sell out.  Tickets may be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.

“A powerful documentary about the ups and downs of three-time, University of Michigan All-American, Dr. Billy Taylor. This deeply moving documentary follows the athlete from the cheers of Michigan Stadium to destitute homelessness on the streets of Detroit. Taylor's comeback serves as the heart and soul of the film.  One has to see PERSEVERANCE: The Story Of Dr. Billy Taylor to fully appreciate the larger wonders and importance of this documentary.”     Frank E. Beaver - Professor Emeritus, Screen Arts and Cultures, University of Michigan
