Remember all the hair you pulled out and nights you stayed up agonizing over your personal statement when you applied to Yale? 826 Valencia, a Bay Area non-profit founded by writer Dave Eggers, is hosting a marathon tutoring session to help high school seniors prepare personal statements for college applications and scholarships. YCSF is organizing a group of volunteers to tutor for the Sat 10/26 12PM-3PM slot. We will meet at Mission High School, on 18th Street @ Dolores Park (between Dolores and Church Streets), complete an hour of tutor training with the 826 Valencia staff, and then work one-on-one with students for two brilliantly rewarding hours. Afterwards, we will head out for ice cream and/or pizza. Please RSVP with your name, email address, and phone number by 10/16. Please arrive by 11:45 AM.
