Hear renowned organist Paul Jacobs (Yale ISM '03), chair of the organ department at the Juilliard School, perform Bach's monumental Clavier-Übung III ("German Organ Mass"), as well as Bach motets and cantatas with the SF Symphony Chorus conducted by Ragnar Bohlin. Jacobs has been instrumental over the past few years in reviving the magnificent Ruffatti organ at Davies Symphony Hall, which features five manuals and 147 ranks comprising 8,264 pipes and which was crafted in Padua.

The concert will be followed by an informal social at Absinthe Brasserie and Bar at 5:15 pm, and Jacobs will be joining us around 6:00 pm.

Tickets can be purchased with a 20% discount and with processing fees waived through the YCSF website. We have reserved excellent orchestra seats in terms of both line of sight and acoustics, and the seats are grouped together.

For more information on the performance, please visit the concert's webpage, http://www.sfsymphony.org/Buy-Tickets/2012-13/Organ-Recital-with-Paul-Jacobs.aspx
