Labadie conducts Mozart and Handel at the San Francisco Symphony

A special evening at the Symphony for Yale and UVa alums. Ticket purchase deadline is March 10th.

Note: The deadline for purchase of these tickets is Sunday March 10th since we need to pre-pay for the seats.

Please join Yale and University of Virginia alums for a special evening at the San Francisco Symphony on April 5th, 2013, and enjoy a 30% group discount on some of the best seats in Davies Symphony Hall.
The San Francisco Symphony will be conducted by Bernard Labadie, one of the masters of the classical and baroque repertoire. The program opens with Mozart's luscious and all-too-short Ave verum corpus. It is followed by one of Mozart's last symphonies, his Symphony No. 39. The concert then moves from the Classical period to the Baroque with a piece in honor of the patron saint of Music, Handel's Ode for St. Cecilia's Day, with Lydia Teuscher (soprano), Nicholas Phan (tenor), and the San Francisco Chorus.
Additionally, there will be a free pre-show Inside Music talk featuring conductor Bernard Labadie interviewed by San Francisco Symphony Artistic Planning Director John Mangum, beginning one hour prior to the concert. There will also be an informal Yale and UVA alum gathering, the details for which will follow.

Discounted tickets for both Yale and UVa clubs can be purchased through the YCSF website. There are three price levels with a limited number of tickets in each (so buy soon!). Although you will not be able to see your precise seats, rest assured that we reserved some of the best in each section and alums will sit together. Level one, at $50.25, is for the Upper Orchestra; Level two, at $34.50, is for the 2nd Tier Premier; Lever three, at $27.75, is for the 2nd Tier. A seating map can be found here. Acoustics are excellent regardless of which section you choose.

For more information on the performance, please visit the concert's webpage.

We look forward to seeing you there!
