YCSF features Bernal Supper Club at Coffee Bar!

We invite you to an evening of great food, drinks, fun and friends at Coffee Bar in the Mission!

Bernal Supper Club at Coffee Bar

Tuesday, March 27th from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.

The Yale Club of San Francisco is pleased to present an evening of delectable small plates provided by Bernal Supper Club and artisanal espresso drinks by Coffee Bar.  Pop-up restaurants, supper clubs and underground dinners have become an essential part of the San Francisco local dining culture – this is your opportunity to participate in this growing trend with your fellow alumni!

Paul Haydu (YC ’90), partner of the architectural firm Jones | Haydu, who helped to convert the current Coffee Bar space from a dreary loading dock into the great space it is today, will say a few brief words about the space and design. Robert Stang (SOM ’99), owner of Coffee Bar, will also say a few words about the coffee culture in San Francisco.  The chefs from Bernal Supper Club will also be available to mingle with guests during the evening.

Ticket price includes a variety of hors d’oeuvres and more substantial small plates, and a range of coffee and espresso drinks.  A selection of wine and beer will be available at Coffee Bar’s happy hour prices ($5 for wine, $4 for beer). A gift basket of Coffee Bar's wonderful coffee and other products will be raffled off to one lucky attendee!

Bernal Supper Club, which consists of chefs Miles Carnahan, Tony Ferrari and Jonathan Sutton, started as a neighborhood gathering of friends, then evolved into a weekly pop-up as popularity grew.  Now they host regular suppers at Caffe Cozzolino.  Their motto is “comfortable food, no pressure.”  For more information on current menus, press, and food photos, please visit their website: http://bernalsupperclub.com

Coffee Bar opened in late 2007 with the goal of providing an exceptional café experience.  They achieve this with a combination of excellent coffee, with responsibly sourced beans from Mr. Espresso, delicious food items, and an open, modern floor plan designed to be a positive, community-oriented space.  They have hosted numerous chef dinners in the past, and they are very excited to be working with YCSF!  Additional information about their coffees, past events and press can be found at their website: http://coffeebar-usa.com

Tickets: $40 per person (price will increase to $50 after Sunday, March 25th)

Online ticket sales have ended.  A limited number of walk-in tickets will be available.

Coffee Bar is located at 1890 Bryant St (entry at Florida & Mariposa) in San Francisco’s Mission District.  There is ample street parking and it is a 10-15 minute walk from the 16th St BART station.
