Docent-led Tour of the Oakland Museum of California

Join us for this family-friendly East Bay event on Saturday, June 11!



Please join us on June 11, 2011, at 11:15 am for a special docent-led tour of the Oakland Museum of California. In addition to viewing the museum’s Sculpture Garden and California History and California Art exhibits we will have the opportunity to view and gain insight into the recent (and ongoing) renovations to this mid-century modern building designed by Kevin Roche.

Highlights of the tour include:
  • Sculpture garden with info about the history and architecture of the museum
  • California History Gallery
  • California Art Gallery (Michael C. McMillen Retrospective Survey)
After the tour guests are free to continue viewing the galleries. The museum also has a café where lunch can be purchased after the tour.

Adults: $16
Children ages 9-17: $10
Children age 8 and under: free (please "purchase" a free ticket, so we can get an accurate headcount)
The museum is easily accessible by BART, Car, and Bus. Validated garage parking is available (Oak Street between 10th and 12th streets). Address and contact information is:
