Come join us for the first in a new series of YCSF food, wine, and art events!


Meet the Makers: Local Food, Wine and Art
Wednesday, March 30th from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Thermidor Restaurant on Mint Plaza in SF

"Meet the Makers: Local Food, Wine and Art" - Join fellow YCSF members for an evening of wine tasting and delectable bar bites from two local artisans.  

Featured wine is Gros Ventre, sharing three new pinot noirs crafted by local winemaker Chris Pittenger. Chris, who has has worked at coveted pinot producers Marcassin and Williams-Selyem, will be pouring three Gros Ventre pinot noirs and charming you with stories from the vines and barrels.  

Chef Bruce Binn, co-owner and chef of local restaurants Thermidor and Spork, will be present to share tales and tips from a SF restauranteur... and potentially share a few kitchen tips while we enjoy selections from Thermidor's new bar bites menu. Thermidor has received excellent press since its opening in June 2010 for the inventive remakes of 1960s era American classics. We will be enjoying the second floor of Thermidor for our event.  Come join us for food, drink and give input on future local venues you'd like YCSF to explore.

Local artists, Eric Rewitzer and Annie Galvan, of 3 Fish Studios in Dogpatch will be attending as well (http://www.3fishstudios.com/). These charming and talented artists produce lino-cut prints, paintings and collages, drawing from themes near and far. Come see selections of their art, chat with Eric and Annie and also learn more about Eric's lino-cut classes for the aspiring artists in the group.  For our kick-off to the "Meet the Maker Series," at the event there will be a drawing for a limited edition print.

Ticket prices:                                                                                                                                                             

YCSF members and up to one guest: $35 per person                                                                                            

YCSF Young Alum members and up to one guest: $30 per person                                                                            

Non-members: $55 per person 

This event will be capped at 40 guests.  

Thermidor Restaurant is conveniently located at 8 Mint Plaza - across the street from the Westfield Center (Powell Bart) and 1 block from the 5th and Mission garage and an easy taxi ride from anywhere.
