Join the 25 Choral Artists in celebrating 25 years of choral innovation with 25 premieres! We showcase composers whose creativity has enriched all our lives, including Ted Allen, Herb Bielawa, Russel Burnham, Paul Crabtree, Robin Estrada, Kirke Mechem, Henry Mollicone, and Jerry Mueller. We premiere works from Composer-In-Residence Brian Holmes, Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall, and the winners of our New Voices competition for composers under age 30.

Harvard and Yale Club members are specially invited to our Pre-Concert Talk at 3:15pm: "Inside the Composer's Studio."  Yale alum and SF Choral Artists President John A. Kelley moderates a conversation with Robin Estrada (Composer-in-Residence 2007-8), Ted Allen (Yale School of Music graduate and Composer-in-Residence 2008-9), and this year's Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall.  Hailing from such distant lands as the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, and New York City and Southern California, these composers talk about their journeys as musicians, life observers, and choral composers.

Discount tickets are also available for these performances (but without the pre-concert talk):

PALO ALTO Saturday, June 19, 2010; 8 PM, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 600 Colorado Avenue, Palo Alto

OAKLAND Sunday, June 20, 2010; 4 PM, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 114 Montecito Avenue, Oakland

About San Francisco Choral Artists

Nationally-recognized San Francisco Choral Artists regularly champion the work of living composers. Known for eclectic programming, the Choral Artists specialize in a cappella music, both vibrant new music and choral masterpieces of the last 600 years. Now in its 25th season and 15th under Artistic Director Magen Solomon, the semi-professional choir has premiered over 160 choral works and performed by invitation at three conventions of the American Choral Directors Association.
