Ivy Women + Small Business = Big Ideas

Join ivy alumnae who are self-employed or in small businesses for bi-monthly
morning meetings to expand community and share ideas across sectors.

We are looking for lawyers, accountants, consultants, freelancers, artists,
and women who work in the healing professions, in retail, in the tech
industry, etc. If you are involved in a small business or self-employed and
wanting to connect with other women, you fit the group  and we hope the
group fits you.

When
1st and 3rd Fridays, next meeting December 18th, 2009.
8 - 9:30am.

Where
The Yoga Loft, 321 Divisadero (between Page and Oak)

Cost
There is suggested $5 donation to help pay for the meeting space, and participants are asked to bring coffee and bagels (or some other light breakfast) for the group on a rotating schedule.

Commitment
Come and check us out for one or both sessions in December (4th and 18th),
and decide if you¹d like to be part of a small group of women committed to
coming together in support of each other for the first six months of 2010.

Structure
In December, the meetings will be structured with 45 minutes for
participants to introduce themselves, their businesses, what¹s working well
and the issue that is most at the forefront for them (either personally
i.e. wanting connection/balancing work and life pressure, or professionally
i.e. in need of expanding your marketing ideas).  Depending on the size of
the group, there may be some group discussion, and we will then break to
allow members to connect further over coffee/tea.

Beginning in January, one member each session will present her business for
20 minutes and include detail around where she would like the group¹s
support.  The group will then ask any clarification questions and discuss
ideas they might have for moving forward for 40 minutes.  The last thirty
minutes are for connecting less formally.
