Be the Change!

Come participate in this community service event with your fellow Yalies!

On Saturday, October 3, 2009, hundreds of people in the Bay Area will dedicate their day to volunteer with one of the many community organizations in the Bay Area. This event is called "Be the Change," which is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.

This year's theme is  "Giving in Action."  This theme acknowledges the variety of ways in which volunteers like you can give back to your community.

Join hundreds of other students and professionals to volunteer at a service project in the Bay Area with a team of Yale alumni!

The Yale Club of San Francisco will be volunteering at the San Francisco Food Bank between 12:30pm and 3:30pm.

The day will begin with an optional kickoff breakfast and guest speaker Premal Shah, founder of Kiva.org, and concludes with an optional happy hour where you can meet other volunteers and share stories about your experience.
