Dimond Canyon & Joaquin Miller Park Hike

Join us on a six-mile hike from Oakland's Dimond District through Dimond Canyon and Joaquin Miller Park.

Join us on a six-mile hike from Oakland's Dimond District through Dimond Canyon and Joaquin Miller Park. This shaded hike will wind through Oakland's largest wildland trail system, with moderately steep uphills and narrow trails through canyons. We will finish at the top of the ridge at Chabot Space & Science Center where we'll catch a bus back down to the Dimond District.

Our trail leader will be Stan Dodson, Founder and Executive Director of Oakland Trails, Co-founder of Oakland Volunteer Park Patrol, and Executive Producer of the documentaries Trailhead (2015) and Old Survivor (2018).

When: Sunday, February 24, 1pm–4pm

Where: Meet in front of La Farine Bakery, 3411 Fruitvale Ave, Oakland, CA 94602 (free parking in the lot behind the bakery)
